“He’s coming for you, Suri~” Rascal sang, walking behind Suri in the middle of the group, “Shut up, he’s not exactly real, right Adam?” Suri asked, looking at the brunette, “Well..-“ “See, he’s not real.” “You didn’t let him finish, Suri,” Rascal giggled, crossing her arms. Suri growled at her and continued walking in the woods. “Let’s just get this over with..”

Earlier today, there was a group of kids in the school working for a report on myths that were discovered and closed as ‘unsolved.’ “Chupacabra?” the red haired girl asked, resting her head on the table in the library, with her brown eyes closed. The boyish girl with brown and black hair shook her head, “Does it look like we got the money to head to Mexico..” she sighed. “It was just a suggestion..” the red head replied. “What about Bigfoot?” the male brunette asked, leaning in his chair with his feet up on the table. “I don’t want to get attacked by tigers, lions, or bears,” the girl sighed, tossing her head back and sighing. “Oh my,” the hipster beside her smirked, his glasses shining lightly, “Shut up, Fishstick.” “Eridan, you fail. It’s “lions, tigers and bears.”” The other male sighed, “Oh my,” the hipster, Eridan, repeated, giggling annoyingly. “The slit mouth ghost?” the girl asked, the red head groaned, “We’d die if she’s real, I don’t want to die,” the girl sighed.

“Adam, can you think of anything?” the red head asked, looking up at the brunette, who shook his head. “No, not really.. Sorry,” the brunette, Adam, sighed, his silver eyes closing and relaxing. “Well, there’s always mermaids,” Eridan smiled brightly, “You’re not getting laid, even by the sluttiest mermaid ever Fishshit,” the red head growled, making Eridan pout with a ‘hmph!’ “Hey, guys!” a male voice called to them, only to be ‘shhhed’ by the kids reading. They all looked over and saw a blonde boy with red eyes running up to them, holding a paper, “I found our project,” he said as he smiled brightly, “We’re doomed.” The red head cried, “Stop being so dramatic, Suri,” he growled, making Suri stick her tongue out at him. The blonde put the paper on the table in the middle, so the group could see. It was the Jersey Devil. “The Jersey Devil.. You gotta be kidding me, Devil..” Suri groaned, closing her eyes again. His red eyes glared at her, “Hey, it’s a good myth to solve!” “Yeah, good for suicidal kids to solve, let the Scooby-Doo gang solve that one, Fred,” Adam growled. Devil, the blonde, growled and sat beside Eridan, scooting away and pouting.

The room fell silent until, “Why not Slenderman?”

They all looked over at Suri, who was now sitting up with a smile, “I thought you said you didn’t want to get killed?” the girl questioned, “Hey, everybody knows he’s a myth, so we won’t get killed.” Suri smiled brightly. “Well.. It’s said that the most recent ‘encounters’ of the Slenderman came from the Tall Tree forest..” Devil said, stroking his invisible beard. “Then let’s go,” Suri said as she stood up, “Rascal, you know where the forest is and you know where everything is there, so you lead us,” she said as she looked over to the other girl, who sighed, “Alright.. But I regret this decision..” she added shortly after, “Why’s that? You scaaared?” Eridan teased Rascal, poking her cheek. She closed her eyes, “No, I just know don’t want to go there, it brings up bad memories,” she growled at him.

“I warn you, kids,” a male voice called from behind a bookshelf, making them look. A middle aged man walked out, looking at them. He had blondish brown hair, and green-blue eyes. “They say he’ll make you all insane, slowly make you try to kill each other, walk farther in until you’re surrounded by him,” the man said before leaving the library, leaving them confused. “..Okay..?” Devil whispered lightly. “Old people are weird,” Eridan growled, “You have no respect,” Suri replied to his ‘comment,’ “Of course I don’t, I don’t have time for nonsense like that rubbish,” he said, faking a British accent, “You’re as fake as your own heart..” Rascal sighed, before standing up, “Come on, class starts soo-“ she was interrupted by the bell, making everybody stand up to leave, and pack their things. “Nevermind..” she sighed as she picked up her backpack and walked out of the library with the group following, “See you soon,” she said before walking off in a different direction.

“..Hey Adam?” Suri asked, walking beside the tall brunette, heading to their class. She looked up at him with curious brown eyes, “Hmm?” he hummed in reply, glancing at her. “Do you think Slendy’s real?” she asked, tilting her head. “…” “Adam?” “..Huh? Sorry.. No, I don’t think he’s real.. If he was, he would have taken somebody in our school,” he shrugged before walking into their Math class, sitting at his seat with her beside him. “If you say so..” she sighed, putting her elbow on her desk and resting her head on her hand, supporting it. He sighed quietly as the bell had rung again, class starting.
Slenderman is real. He just doesn't want everybody to know.
